Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines’ Social Sports School Program kicked off in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur – a partnership with ANAKK-Sta. Cruz Association and Fundacion Real Madrid.
Through the sports of football, this program is geared towards the socio-educational development of unschooled youth – cultivating a positive outlook and instilling values in them. With Fundacion Real Madrid’s participation, Real Madrid team coaches come to the Philippines annually to train local instructors on the sport’s basics. While ANAKK-Sta. Cruz Association provides technical skills education essential for the children’s future with the parents’ help and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“Fostering a holistic formation through education and sports”
is the focus of this Social Sports School program. It aligns with Coca-Cola FEMSA’s advocacy in positively affecting people’s well-being.
As of this writing, there are around 300 children enrolled in the program. The Social Sports School program is also being implemented in Digos and Hagonoy (both in Davao del Sur), Bacolod and Batangas.
